Icarus, from Greek mythology,  was the figure who attempted to escape Crete by using wings made of feathers and wax.  He ignores his father's warning not to fly too close to the sun, and sadly, his wings melt plummeting him into the sea.  Thomas Glenn Holidays gives us a colorful pattern of stylized wings to remind us not to fly too close to the sun!
